Kookaburra Outfitters: Salmon, Idaho

Adrenaline Junkies

Let the good times and the adrenaline flow! Think about getting on the river while it's fast and wild. The weather on the upper Salmon is cool, the river high, perfect for an exciting raft trip. You will likely need a wet suit, and we'll find you one. Right now, due to spring rains, the air is pure and scented by Syringa, our official state shrub. We encourage you to raft with us and experience the beautiful emerald green mountain scenery.

Fast River Trip

If you don't have a lot of time to devote to a raft trip on the Salmon River, check with us. We did two complete floats through the whitewater section of the upper Salmon River in 2 1/2 hours. The time included loading the raft on the trailer and backtracking to the launch site. This is the perfect float trip, If you only have a few hours to spare. Give us a call, and book it!

Upper Salmon River Rafting at it's Best

Book your Upper Salmon River float trip as soon as you can. Keep in mind that this year, due to climate conditions, high water will not last very long. My suggestion for the die hard whitewater enthusiast is to take your float trip in the month of June. That is not to say there won't be good rafting later in the summer, but if you like big waves and like to raft at a fast clip, plan to go now.
