Some of our most well known rapids on the upper Salmon river of Idaho would be: Pine Creek Rapid, Upper and Lower Dutch Oven, Mud Slide, Cramer and Little Niagara. These rapids are classified as 3's and at least one of them is a 4. Now that we have spring runoff, the water temperature is about 40 degrees and running fast, so we advise you to wear a wetsuit. Our camping trips do require 2 or 3 days out-of-doors on the river. So, If a 1 day float trip, or multiple days on the river sounds like fun to you, then book your next float trip with us.

IOGA Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association

We are proud members of the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association, the IOGA. We are also licensed by the state of Idaho through the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board, and we are bonded by a surety bond through a private bonding company. We hold special use permits issued to us from the Salmon Challis National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management, the BLM. Our permits allow us to float boat, raft or fish, certain sections of the upper Salmon River from the launch site at Kilpatrick down to Corn Creek, approximately  90 miles of river use.
