Plan your summer fun raft trip on the upper Salmon River now! We expect a great year for whitewater on the upper Salmon this year. If you do not have the time for a whole day float, then call us and we can arrange a leisurely half day trip for you and your family. But, if excitement is what you are looking for, then by all means book a day float trip with us, and hang on!

IOGA Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association

We are proud members of the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association, the IOGA. We are also licensed by the state of Idaho through the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board, and we are bonded by a surety bond through a private bonding company. We hold special use permits issued to us from the Salmon Challis National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management, the BLM. Our permits allow us to float boat, raft or fish, certain sections of the upper Salmon River from the launch site at Kilpatrick down to Corn Creek, approximately  90 miles of river use.

Outfitter Rendezvous at the Salmon Select Horse Sale

While you attend the Salmon Select Horse Sale, be sure to sample the dutch oven dinner prepared and brought to you by the Guides of Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association. The dutch oven dinner features gun raffles, an auction, no-host bar, live music. You can also shop for outdoor gear and collectable during the Gear Sale and Lie Swap.

Salmon River Whitewater Forecast

The whitewater forecast for the Salmon River looks very promising this year. Snow pack for the Salmon Basin is 90% of normal, which means we can expect a great year for whitewater rafting. In other words, we expect a less dangerous early high water situation with a better than average runoff over the entire summer months. It could be one of the best whitewater years ever!

Steelhead Fishing on the Salmon with Live Bait

Do you like to use live bait when you fish for Steelhead Trout? We usually pull plugs or lures from a driftboat, but we can also offer you nightcrawlers or meal worms. We furnish all the equipment you need plus food for an all day trip on the Salmon River. Just call us a few days in advance of when you want to be here so that we can be ready for you.
