WHERE WE ARE:
Nestled at the base of the Continental Divide, where the Lemhi and Salmon Rivers meet, Salmon is a refreshing step back into the Old West. Centrally located, Salmon is a perfect rafting and recreation detour for those on their way to or from Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, or the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, home to Hamilton, Darby and Sula, Montana.
Our stretch of the Salmon River flows right through the town of Salmon (where it has little whitewater), past the town of North Fork (a scenic one hour drive from Darby, Montana, over Lost Trail Pass), and continues into the dramatic Salmon River Canyon (where you'll encounter Class II & III whitewater)as far as you can go and still come back by road. The last 30 miles borders the River of No Return Wilderness Area, and is one of the most beautiful, untouched spots in the West.
